the sheep sheep song

it’s all related.
am reading haruki murakami’s a wild sheep chase (less than quarter of an inch left), and just started terry pratchett’s the wee free men (so far so good!) which has little blue men stealing sheep; cleaned up my room last sunday (only got as far as my bookcase) and the only thing i could not fit back in after rearrangements was a galvanised metal bucket with two sheep fridge magnets on it (made from real sheep wool) that i got at st kilda market in melbourne, and the present room&board furniture am lusting after is the chelsea sectional which has angora in it.

baaaaaaaaaaaaa!

(well ok angora wool is from rabbit but angora hair is also from the angora goat which is kinda the same. errr, almost)

funny you brought this up...i was singing Baa Baa Black Sheep to john reza just today....though i have been thiking of how to make it more politically correct..you know..black and all that. haha

It is "Baa Baa Black Sheep".

What is incorrect about singing it that way?

Are you denying the existence of black sheep?

They are a heavily discriminated against minority you know. Better double up on the singing of it ;-)

ut but stevie horn-nie,

like people, we should not decribe sheep by color.
i cant call a black man black, but an afro-caribean. i cant call a chineseman yellow now, can i?
so i should refer to the sheep as
leeesseeeyyy
Baa Baa Coloured Sheep
Have You Any Wool

(you know i am kidding rite?)

or am i?
